Vega Helmet Sizing Guide

Finding the Right Size

Let's Find The Correct Helmet Size for You!

Keep in mind helmet sizes vary widely by manufacturer. You might be a Medium in one manufacturers helmet and a Large or XL in another manufacturers helmet!  Measuring your head is a starting point to determine what helmet size to order. However, this is not the only factor. Due to varying head shapes and individual body types, measuring your head with a tape measure to determine your helmet size is not an exact science. Don't despair - we can help. Please read on!

To get the most accurate measurement you will need a tailor's tape measure to measure your head. To get the most accurate size measurement, have someone assist you when you measure your head. To achieve the most accurate measurement of your head, place the bottom of the measuring tape approximately ½ inch to 1 inch above the eyebrows and ears in front / sides and at a point in the back of the head that results in the largest possible measurement. Take several measurements to get the most accurate measurement.

Keep in mind the shape of your head (ex. oval vs round) is as important as the measurement. Note: We have found the following size chart is more accurate for individuals with an oval shaped head and for individuals who don't carry a lot of weight for their height.

When ordering please use the size chart as a guide. If you find yourself between sizes you may want to go up a size for a variety of reasons such as you prefer a looser fit, you ride with a hat under your helmet, you carry a lot of weight for your height, you have a more round head shape than oval head shape, or you have an unusually shaped head.

Don't despair, finding a perfect fit is not as much of a problem with Vega's Warrior 1/2 helmets which features unique turn knob size-adjustment dial system. If the helmet is a little lose just turn the dial system to fine tune the helmet size for a more custom fit!
